Legends of Spanish Basketball to Pay Tribute at Juan Carlos Sancho Memorial Match

In addition, one of the referees will be Francisco Monjas from Segovia, a former Segovian referee who refereed national, ACB and international matches for 20 years. He was referee director of ACB until 2021 and is a member of the Hall of Fame of the Spanish Basketball Federation.

More than 800 tickets have already been sold to enjoy the match between Real Madrid Leyendas and Real Valladolid Veterans, which has been created for the occasion, and the match between the current Cuéllar Basketball Club team and its veterans. About thirty former players from the Cuellar team have been meeting several days a week for months to pay tribute to their former teammate Juan Carlos Sancho who died as a result of cancer. His brother César, supported by the club in which he played, has been preparing a tribute for months in which he has managed to bring together the top stars of Spanish basketball from his best years.
