49ers will lose draft pick after NFL punishment
The San Francisco 49ers committed a error when calculating your payroll for last year. Consequently, the NFL sanctioned them.
The team will be losing a 2025 fifth-round pick and also had a fourth-round pick cut this year. In accordance with Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Areathe explanation was that it is due to “errors in payroll accounting at the end of 2022 [que] “led to a misstatement of the club’s players’ accrued compensation.”
Their fourth-round pick was originally 131st, but has now been placed at 135th, although it will remain in the same round.
The Niners stated the following:
“We take responsibility and accept the discipline imposed by the NFL due to an administrative payroll error. At no time did we mislead or otherwise deceive the League or obtain a competitive advantage in connection with the payroll error.”

The number two overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft visited New Orleans last Monday. Having left without a signature, his next visits included the Panthers and Titans over the next few days.

After swapping picks with the Texans, accumulating two first-round picks in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings have their sights set on drafting a QB.
GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah said last Monday that his team has “a favorite scene” which seems to be taking shape.
According to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, the team will go see QB JJ McCarthy in person to watch him practice a couple of times during the week. First, QB coach Josh McCown and Grant Udinski will be at the University of Michigan’s Pro Day on March 22.
Additionally, HC Kevin O’Connell and Adofo-Mensah will be holding a private workout with the Wolverines quarterback.

Draft experts view McCarthy as the fourth-best QB of this generation behind QB Caleb Williams, QB Drake Maye and QB Jayden Daniels. Because of this, it is not ruled out that Minnesota will do everything possible to move up further in the first round and take it before they are beaten.
