The New York Yankees will travel to Mexico to play two games, on the 24th and 25th of this month, against the red devilsa series that has captivated several of its Latin players who want to go show their talent before the Aztec public.
The Mexican Victor Gonzalez is one of those who this Friday showed his joy at the opportunity to throw in front of his family in Yankees pinstripes
“It’s very important for me to have the opportunity to go to Mexico and pitch. I have many family members who have not had the opportunity to see me pitch. Wearing the Yankees pinstripes and being home to pitch in front of my family, I think it’s going to be amazing,” said Gonzalez, who has pitched for the Yankees. Charros de Jalisco in the Mexican Pacific Leaguebut this will be his first opportunity to do so with the historic MLB club.

The Dominican Juan Sotowho is the Yankees’ main acquisition in the current Major League market, will face his childhood idol in those games, his compatriot Robinson Canówho was recently introduced as new member of the Diablos for the Mexican Baseball League (LMB) season.
“That’s a guy I followed since I was a little kid and a guy I wanted to be like,” Soto revealed about the former Yankees star who congratulated him when he found out about his move to the New York franchise.
For Soto, the Alfredo Harp Helú stadium in Mexico City and the atmosphere that surrounds it is not something unknown.since the outfielder played in this setting last season when with the San Diego Padres they faced the San Francisco Giants on April 29 and 30.
