At 17:12, Cozens made a backhanded shot that ricocheted off the end boards and into the goal, earning his second short-handed point and solidifying the final score of 7-2.

At 6:26, Power’s shot from the point got past Thompson, who had a player obstructing his view, increasing the score to 5-2. Later, at 12:18, Mittelstadt scored from the top of the left circle while on a power play, making the score 6-2.

At the beginning of the first period, Skinner took the lead for Buffalo with a score of 1-0 at 1:55. He gained possession of the puck from William Karlsson near the top of the right circle and did a spin move in the high slot, ultimately scoring by getting the puck past Thompson’s stick.

In their past seven games, the Golden Knights (33-21-7) have a record of 2-4-1, with Logan Thompson making 28 saves.
