New headquarters in the green area near the amusement park for the Asd Vercelli Archery Team, led since 1977 by Pietro Castelli: after having had to leave the historic headquarters in the area of the Sesia embankment, the association had found hospitality in Olcenengo.
«We willingly contributed to finding new spaces for the association – comments the Sports councilor, Mimmo Sabatino -. Archery Team is working on the arrangement of the area and will thus be able to find a new space to carry out its sporting activities”.
The president himself thanks the Municipality and ASL for the work done: «The new shooting range will be built in an area owned by the ASL Vc and the Municipality of Vercelli located in the event park area near the purifier. In particular, for the Municipality of Vercelli the councilors Domenico Sabatino and Luigi Michelini, the architect Liliana Patriarca, the surveyor Silvia Vallania and Laura Martinotti of the Contracts Office. For the ASL of Vercelli the general director Eva Colombo, the managers of the Heritage sector Laura Gili, of the Heritage sector Antimo Pedata and Laura Onolfo. And the technicians Massimiliano Da Cruz, Antonio Reale, Chiara Maffei, to whom a huge thank you goes for having followed the bureaucratic part and beyond in recent months, with the utmost availability and professionalism. Obviously, as of today, the land is to be transformed into an archery range and this arduous undertaking will, as always, require the collaboration of all the members in whom I trust.”
The goal is to inaugurate the renovated archery range in 2024: «Who knows, maybe the passion for this sport, which for me is splendid, could spread further – concludes the president -. Thanks again to the City of Vercelli for allowing us to continue our sport.”
