NBA Play-in: the teams qualified

There are no teams qualified for the Play-in yet for a simple mathematical reason. Some are legitimately aiming to get a ticket to the postseason without going through the play-offs, reaching sixth place, the last possible one in this sense. For others, however, the Play-in is the last train.

At stake at the moment (March 26, 2024) are, from seventh to tenth place in the East, in order: Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks. On the east coast, three teams already out of contention will not participate in the Play-in: Charlotte Hornets (17-54), Washington Wizards (14-58) and Detroit Pistons (12-60).

At the New Orleans Pelicans on March 26, in the Western Conference, from seventh to tenth place we find the Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors. Already eliminated from the Play-in race are the Memphis Grizzlies (24-48), the Portland Trail Blazers (19-53) and Victor Wembanyama’s San Antonio Spurs (16-56).
