National team record goal by Wirtz was “actually planned”

Florian Wirtz scores earlier than any national player in an international match. There was a method behind it, reveals the template provider.
The fastest international goal in the history of the national soccer team by Florian Wirtz was intended to be exactly that.
“The standard coaches had enough time, four months, to think of something,” said DFB returnee Toni Kroos on ZDF after the 2-0 win against France in Lyon. “You could say that this was actually planned.”
Wirtz took the lead after seven seconds, Kroos provided the assist after the kick-off from Kai Havertz. “The kick-off was planned that way and was excellently prepared by standard coach Mads Buttgereit,” said national coach Julian Nagelsmann. Wirtz then did “sensationally” well. “An outstanding shot,” said the national coach.
“After a few seconds it was unbelievable fun,” said DFB sports director Rudi Völler. The previous record holder was Lukas Podolski, who scored after nine seconds in a 4-2 win against Ecuador on May 29, 2013 in Miami.
