“I spent a lot of time reflecting on the events of the parade. While gun violence was a prominent topic, ultimately, this type of destructive violence should not be tolerated,” stated Butker. “I believe that having strong, responsible fathers in the household is crucial. We need men who can lead and serve as positive role models for the young men in our society, teaching them that violence is not an acceptable means of resolving conflicts.”

Last month, a shooting resulted in the tragic death of disc jockey Lisa Lopez-Galvan and left nearly 20 others injured. Three individuals are currently being charged with federal gun offenses in relation to the incident.
