The match between Victoria Azarenka and Yulia Putintseva at the Miami Masters 1000 had an unexpected protagonist in the stands, the legendary boxer Mike Tyson.
The boxer was detained by a security member as a result of an unbreakable rule for any spectator who attends a tennis match. Tyson left his place in the stands during one of the breaks and when he wanted to return the game was already in play so he could not return to his town until the match stopped again.
Despite his fame, Tyson was subject to the event’s rules, which prevented spectators from moving or leaving their seats during the game thus starring in a curious image, to say the least, that of Tyson being detained by a member of security, an image that gave rise to many speculations due to the history of controversial episodes that the boxer has been involved in throughout his career.
