Mexican Judokas Ready to Compete at Antalya Grand Slam 2024 for Olympic Points

Quartet of Mexican judokas will seek Olympic points at the Antalya Grand Slam 2024

Without stopping in their search for points to reach the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, four members of the Mexican Judo Team are ready to step on the tatami of the Antalya Grand Slam 2024.

This event, which will take place in the Turkish city, will take place from March 29 to 31, under the organization of the International Judo Federation (IJF), as part of the World Judo Tour 2024.

For this event, the official IJF website reports that 628 competitors from 93 countries on five continents have registered.

Among these athletes, the four members of the Mexican National Team are registered in the graphs, two from the women’s team and another couple from the men’s team.

As for the female duo, they are Edna Carrillo, -48 kg, who in her first fight will face Raquel Brito, from Portugal; while Paulina Martínez, -52 kg, will have the Brazilian Larissa Pimenta as her rival.

As for the men’s team, they are Arath Juárez, -60 kg, who will face Ariunbold Enkhtaivan, from Mongolia; while Ulises Méndez, -73 kg, will have Bayram Kandemir, from Turkey, as his opponent.
