The national Judo team prepares to achieve the qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, so this Friday, March 29, the Mexican judotecas will participate in the Grand Slam in Antalya, Türkiye, competition that will conclude on March 31.
This international competition distributes points for the ranking of the specialty towards the next Olympic event.
The Turkish Grand Slam will feature more than 600 competitors coming from 93 countries represents the sixth date of the specialty series in the season, with Mexican participation, then attending Paris, Baku, Tashkent, Austria and Tbilisi.

Edna Carrillo, Paulina Martínez, Arath Juárez and Ulises Méndez will compete in the Antalya Grand Slam to take place from March 29 to 31.

In the Women’s branch Mexico will be represented by:
Edna Carrillo in the -48 kilograms category
Paulina Martínez (-52 kg)
In the men’s category the national representative will be led by:
Arath Juárez (-60 kg)
Ulises Méndez (-73 kg).
The road to Paris 2024
In addition to the Grand Slam in Antalya, Turkey, Mexican athletes will participate in the following competitions:
- Grand Slam of Astana Kazakhstan | From May 3 to 5
- Senior World Championship | Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
- Pan American/Oceania Senior Championship | Rio de Janeiro | From April 25 to 27
