Kylian Mbappé commanded attention in a remarkable way on Friday during Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 match at AS Monaco (0-0). The 25-year-old star player was substituted at half-time and watched the second half next to his mother from the stands.

Mbappé was unable to make his mark for Paris Saint-Germain in the first half against AS Monaco, after which coach Luis Enrique decided to replace the French superstar at half-time.

Mbappé showed little interest in what his teammates did after the break. Once showered, he was spotted calling in the catacombs of the Stade Louis II in Monaco.

Shortly afterwards, Mbappé moved upstairs to watch the second half with mother Fayza. The remarkable action of the 75-time international was captured by French television.

The incident in Monaco is the next action with which Mbappé does not exactly make himself popular with the Parisians. The Frenchman decided earlier this summer not to extend his expiring contract and has been firmly linked with a transfer to Real Madrid next summer. The switch is not yet official.

PSG coach Enrique took Mbappé off in the 65th minute in the Parisian club’s previous match, Sunday against Stade Rennais (1-1). Mbappé is Paris Saint-Germain’s club top scorer this season with 21 league goals.
