Mathias Gidsel and Henny Reistad voted best players in the world

Mathias Gidsel, right back of the Danish team, world champion last year and finalist of the Euro last January (beaten by France, 33-31), was elected best world player of the year 2023. Aged 25, he had already been named MVP of the World Cup and also of the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021.

On the list of best player in the world, Gidsel, who plays in Germany for Füchse Berlin, succeeds his compatriot, goalkeeper Niklas Landin, titled in 2021 (there was no trophy presentation in 2022).

The Norwegian Henny Reistad, resident of the Danish club Esbjerg, was also elected best player in the world 2023, after reaching the final of the World Cup, where her team lost to France (31-28), in December last. Ellefsen in Skipagotu (Faroe Islands) best youngster 2023
