Marc Godrie High School Teams Qualify for French Badminton Championship

The Marc-Godrie professional high school (LP) in Loudun has two teams registered in badminton in the UNSS (National School Sports Union) academic championship. The PE teacher who trains them, Yoann Forcin, can only be delighted with their performances and their development.

Qualified for the French championship

The women’s team finished fifth at the French championship in 2023. A year later, after being departmental champions in January, two teams qualified for the French badminton championship at the UNSS academic final. It took place on March 6 at the LP in Niort. “Our two teams won all their matches after a long day of effort”, underlines the teacher, congratulating his students for their regular investment in training. Two young referees are also part of the adventure and have been validated “Young Academic Referee”: Clément Pingaud and Enoha Bailly.

They are therefore qualified for the French championship, which will take place in Clermont-Ferrand from May 13 to 15. “They will be able to experience memories that will last for a long time. »

A good omen for Loudun, which will see the Olympic flame pass on May 25.
