The weekend of March 23 and 24, 2024 will be held at the Saint Pierre de Chignac gymnasium, the 2nd edition of the badminton tournament organized by the Badminton Club Auberoche Isle Manoire 24. We invited the president, Cyril Rougier, to talk to us about it.
Badminton is one of the most practiced sports at school level. In Dordogne, we have players of good level and even national level. There will be several degrees of levels for this tournament on March 23 and 24, 2024 coming from different departments of Nouvelle Aquitaine.
More than 250 competitors expected
For this second edition, the club increased its number of participants from 200 to 250. This represents practically 300 matches over the 2 days. The matches will take place on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. For spectators, the presence of a refreshment bar and free entry. Cyril Rougier, president of Badminton Club Auberoche Isle Manoire 24, the organizing club, tells us about this tournament and the valuable role of volunteers. Last year several Périgord residents stood out and won the tournament in their category.
