From the Japan Professional Basketball League (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, Chairman: Shinji Shimada, hereinafter referred to as “B.LEAGUE”),
We would like to inform you about the promotion/relegation system after the 2024-25 season.
In anticipation of B. Innovation in 2026, it has been decided that two clubs each will automatically be promoted from B2 to B1 and from B3 to B2 after the 2024-25 season, and there will be no relegation.

■B1/B2 B.LEAGUE promotion/relegation system after the end of the 2024-25 season
The promotion and relegation after the B.LEAGUE 2024-25 season will be “automatic promotion for 2 clubs” and “no relegation”.
Therefore, the next season will be B1 League in 2025-26 with 26 clubs.
*The district will be discussed in the future and will be announced separately.

■B2/B3 B.LEAGUE 2024-25 season promotion/relegation system
B.LEAGUE After the end of the 2024-25 season, the promotion and relegation between the B2 league and B3 league will be “automatic promotion for 2 clubs” and “no relegation.”
Therefore, the number of clubs for the B2 League 2025-26 season will remain at 14.
