Fernandes has now scored 48 goals in the Premier League with Man United. This record is the same as his predecessors, namely Dimitar Berbatov, Robin van Persie and Dwight Yorke.
Apart from that, Fernandes is also recorded as taking the most penalties scored for Man United in the Premier League at Old Trafford, with a score of 11 goals. The Portuguese midfielder is only one goal behind Ruud van Nistelrooy
The penalty was awarded after Alejandro Garnacho was brought down in the restricted area. He is listed as the first Man United player to win two penalties in a Premier League match.
