Los Angeles Rams Awarded Five Comp Picks for 2024 NFL Draft, Bringing Total to 11 Selections

The Los Angeles Rams were only slated to have six picks in the 2024 NFL draft because of past trades they made, but they nearly doubled their total when the league handed out compensatory selections. The Rams were awarded five comp picks for their free agent-losses last offseason, as well as the departure of Raheem Morris, giving them 11 total selections.

With compensatory picks now official, the NFL released the finalized order of picks for every team in the 2024 draft — all 257 of them. Los Angeles’ first pick comes at No. 19 overall, with its last being at No. 254, so Les Snead and Sean McVay will be busy on draft weekend.

Here’s a complete list of the Rams’ picks in the draft this year.

For the first time since 2016, the Rams are slated to pick in the first round. They’re penciled in at No. 19, though there’s always a chance they’ll either trade back or send that pick to another team for a proven veteran.

After picking Steve Avila at No. 36 overall last year, the Rams will pick 52nd in the second round this year.

  • No. 98 overall (compensatory pick)

The Rams have their own third-round pick at No. 83 overall and a compensatory selection at No. 98 for losing Raheem Morris to the Falcons’ head coaching position.

  • None (traded in Kevin Dotson deal)

The Rams don’t have a selection in the fourth round because of the Kevin Dotson trade. Last summer, they traded their 2024 fourth-round pick and 2025 fifth-round pick to the Steelers for Dotson, a 2024 fifth-round pick and 2025 sixth-rounder.

  • No. 153 overall
  • No. 154 overall (via PIT)

The Rams have their own selection at No. 153 overall, as well as a second selection in the fifth round one pick later at No. 154. That pick is from the Dotson trade.

  • No. 195 overall
  • No. 209 overall (compensatory pick)
  • No. 213 overall (compensatory pick)
  • No. 217 overall (compensatory pick)

The Rams ended up with three compensatory picks in the sixth round, all ranging from No. 209 to 217, so it’ll be rapid fire for Los Angeles in the penultimate round — barring a trade during the draft, of course. They also have their original pick at No. 195.

  • No. 254 overall (compensatory pick)

The Rams traded Kenny Young to the Broncos a couple of years ago, which included Los Angeles sending a seventh-round pick to Denver with him. As a result, they only have a seventh-round compensatory pick.
