“I am really satisfied with the attitude of the players in this game, also with the result. I also want to highlight the fact that the team fought back during the game. The boys worked well during this training camp and today they were rewarded for it,” said the Italian in a conversation with the Latvian Football Federation (LFF) a specialist.

“Many things that we tried to achieve during the training process for three days were visible on the field, and I am really pleased that we managed to see a lot of what was planned on the field as well,” he continued.

On the other hand, the defender of the Latvian national team, Kaspars Dubra, expressed his joy that it was possible to achieve a draw, but there were also moments in which the players of Latvia could have achieved success.

“There were mistakes, but we are happy that we are starting to play more with the ball. There is still room to work, but it was a positive game. The coach asked us to try to play with the ball and not be afraid to make mistakes. There were not many moments, but overall we can be satisfied.” said Dubra.

Under the leadership of Nikolato, the Latvian national team will also play against the Liechtenstein national team during the first training camp in the Cypriot city of Larnaca on March 26.
