Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball will not play again in the 2023-24 season due to the recurring ankle injury that has kept him out since January.

Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball will not play again this season as he continues to rehab a right ankle injury, the team announced Wednesday.

Ball He has been out since Jan. 27, when he did not play in the second game of consecutive nights. The 22-year-old missed two important stretches of the 2023-24 season, and was out almost seven weeks after suffering a sprained right ankle in November.
