The Frankfurt team showed no signs of progress in the away win in Heidenheim. What coach Toppmöller promised when he took over has little to do with reality.
There were only ten left. 24 games are over, more than two thirds of the season has been completed – and Eintracht finds itself in sixth place in the Bundesliga. This has not least to do with the fact that the competition, which also has its eye on the zone behind the Champions League ranks, delivers even more inconsistent performances.
What the Toppmöller team did in Heidenheim did not fulfill their desire for attractive football. At least the result was right for her this time.
