“Before today’s training session, Julio presented general discomfort and minor ailments; and after consulting the Medical Department, it was arranged that Club personnel would accompany him to a medical center to carry out preventive studies. “Once discharged, the coach will resume his usual duties. Meanwhile, the team will be led by his collaborators,” added the club, which made it clear that the coach will not be present in the match against Vélez.
Falcioni was transferred to a nearby hospital thanks to the quick actions of Dr. Ríos’ son on the Luis Guillón property.
Upon entering the facility, he was stabilized, although he will remain hospitalized for observation.
This is not the first complication that the coach has suffered in his health, since he has just overcome laryngeal cancer that had him suffering for a long time.
Furthermore, during his last stage at Independiente, he had the onset of pneumonia when he contracted Covid-19 and suffered the loss of his wife.
