Will Julian Nagelsmann become BVB coach in the summer? The national coach has apparently decided on this option.
Dortmund – Julian Nagelsmann is considered a potential trainer at Borussia Dortmund. Accordingly, the current national coach is one of the candidates for a possible successor to Edin Terzic. Nagelsmann wants to decide his future before the 2024 European Championships and has now apparently canceled black and yellow.
BVB coach? Julian Nagelsmann has made his decision
Transfer expert Florian Plettenberg reported this on Monday (March 25th) in the transfer update from Sky. Accordingly, Nagelsmann currently has other plans than hiring in Dortmund.
Borussia is said to have already been informed of this decision. Only recently RUHR24 wrote that BVB is under time pressure when it comes to a possible signing of Nagelsmann. Now the runner-up apparently has to say goodbye to the idea for the time being.

Plettenberg did not reveal where the ex-Bayern coach was headed. It was only recently announced that the German Football Association (DFB) wants to extend Julian Nagelsmann’s contract before the home European Championship with a success-related clause.
This could be the reason for the 36-year-old’s BVB rejection. But there was also speculation about a return to FC Bayern, where Thomas Tuchel is leaving at the end of the season.

BVB may need a successor for Edin Terzic
The fact that Borussia Dortmund even dealt with Julian Nagelsmann is also due to the changeable season for black and yellow. If the runner-up misses qualification for the Champions League, Edin Terzic could be fired in Dortmund, according to media reports.
However, Borussia is currently in fourth place in the Bundesliga and is also in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. If Terzic makes it clear that he will enter the premier class via the league, he is likely to keep his job. Many potential BVB coaches are already off the market anyway.
Ultimately, those in charge in Dortmund would much prefer sporting success to looking for a successor on the sidelines. On Saturday (March 30th, 6:30 p.m.) BVB travels to Munich for the top game.
