Judo Tournaments at Paris 2024 Olympics: What to Expect

The judo tournaments at the Paris Olympic Games will be held from 27 July to 3 August 2024 at the Grand Palais Éphémère. Fifteen medal events are scheduled: seven men’s, seven women’s and one mixed. In total, 372 athletes are expected (14 fewer than in Tokyo 2020), 186 per gender. The weight categories are -60 kg, -66 kg, -73 kg, -81 kg, -90 kg, -100 kg, +100 kg for men and -48 kg, -52 kg, -57 kg, -63 kg, -70 kg, -78 kg, +78 kg for women. In each category, we immediately face each other one on one with direct elimination. The scoreboard is built with the ranking. Whoever is beaten in the quarter-finals has the chance to be revived and play for the bronze medal (which are two for each category).
