After his turbulent departure at the beginning of the season, James Harden returned to Philadelphia two nights ago for the first time since the transfer to the Clippers. And the reception was not exactly warm. The moment his name was announced over the public address system was followed by boos from what was his fan base for a season and a half, and although the shooting guard acknowledged that he had not been caught completely by surprise, he did claim to not understand the the whole reason.
«I expected it. “I don’t know why it’s coming, but she expected it,” she said after the crash. “It is what it is. “I don’t understand why they boo me, but if you ask them I guess they will explain it to you.”
Presumably, the transfer request in the summer was not to the liking of 76ers fans, although Harden accused Daryl Morey of lying to him at the time and pointed him out as responsible for what happened. This, however, has not completely gelled among the stands of the Wells Fargo Center, although James did not want to be left alone with the bad.
