After having long been the darling of a certain intelligentsia Parisian, Gérard Miller has fallen from a height in recent weeks. Accused of sexual assault by several dozen women, the “PAF psychologist” is swimming in troubled waters. And while the affair made less noise, it was the ex-columnist at his side Isabelle Mergault who chose to speak.
We call it falling from a height. While he had set himself up as a lesson giver on numerous TV sets, including towards women, Gérard Miller found himself accused of sexual assault and inappropriate behavior towards women by more than 40 people . He pleads consent and media relentlessness, but his image is obviously very tarnished.
If none of the cases have yet been brought to justice (the famous psychoanalyst therefore remains presumed innocent, editor’s note), many people want to know more about Miller’s past, and about possible warning signs. And in this matter, it is inevitably the famous “Bande à Ruquier”, of which he was part at the beginning of the 2000s, which is in the crosshairs.

After the very shy speech by Isabelle Alonsoyet an acknowledged feminist, it was Isabelle Mergault who took advantage of a visit to the set of “CA Vous” to open up on the subject:
I read, like you, on social networks, that the ‘Bande à Ruquier’ could not ignore it, but yes. I don’t know, the case has not been judged, there is the presumption of innocence.

To hear it, Mergault has not seen with her own eyes any reprehensible behavior on the part of Miller, even if she recognizes his seductive side. But no alarm signals according to her:
Miller, I spent my vacations with him, I did shows with him… He fascinated with his intelligence, with his analysis. He fascinates.
But even I did it with guys who weren’t too naughty, I’m kidding. And then even with girls, we’re there, we go out, everyone wants to talk to you. I have nothing to say about Gérard, from what I have seen.
For his part, the main person concerned maintains against all odds that he has “never forced anyone”. In a press release, he explained:
I can say without hesitation that I obtained the consent of the women with whom I was involved in the seduction process… This is what we called acting between consenting adults at the time.
Like Isabelle Alonso and Christine Bravo before her, Isabelle Mergault assures that she never saw any signals suggesting that Gérard Miller was a sexual predator. Speech in the form of support, which will please the main person concerned… but not the many complainants.
