Introducing NZF Learn: New Zealand Football Launches Free Platform for Community Coaching and Refereeing Courses

New Zealand Football have launched NZF Learn, a new free platform to make community coaching and refereeing courses more accessible than ever before.

The platform allows participants to learn in their own time through online modules before bringing what they have learnt to life through practical sessions.

The first phase of the launch sees seven programmes available, three updated community coaching courses, two updated community refereeing courses and two brand new refereeing courses.

To register for the courses participants can either visit their local federation website to find a practical module for the age group they are working with, and automatically get access to the online modules so they can prepare in the comfort of their own home, or register for the online modules and, once completed, find a practical module that suits.

The coaching courses available are:

– The Fun-damentals of Junior Coaching Award for coaches of 4-9 year olds
– The Junior Level 1 Coaching Award for coaches of 9-13 year olds
– The Youth Level 1 Coaching Award for coaches of 13-19 year olds

The refereeing courses available are:

– The Game Day Leader Award for all volunteers who help to lead game day for 4-9 year olds
– The Mini Football/Futsal Refereeing Award for those coaches and other volunteers who find themselves refereeing 9-13 year olds each week
– The Youth and Community Football/Futsal Refereeing Award for volunteers who put their hand up to referee youth or senior community football and futsal
– The Referee Level 1 Award, for those referees who are keen to take their refereeing to the next level and start the journey to becoming a qualified referee.
