Injury Woes: New York Knicks Confirm OG Anunoby’s Withdrawal for Game Against Toronto Raptors

The New York Knicks have confirmed the withdrawal of OG Anunoby for tonight’s game against the Toronto Raptors, which will be played at the Scotiabank Arena starting at 00:30 Spanish time, reported journalist Ian Begley of the media SNY.com.

The forward with a British passport has missed the last five official matches after having problems with his right elbow, which he had surgery on just two months ago in the competition.

Anunoby’s problems reappeared in the March 15 game against the Portland Trail Blazers, when he hurt himself while trying to steal possession from center DeAndre Ayton.

The Knicks’ medical services are being cautious with his physical condition. He had the same situation with his teammates Julius Randle and Mitchell, both in the final stretch of his comeback.

Flood of injuries in Toronto

But not only the Knicks will have important absences, since Darko Rajakovic’s Raptors also have a completely full infirmary, and among their injuries are:

  • Scottie Barnes
  • Jakob Poeltl
  • Chris Boucher
  • DJ Carton
  • Jontay Porter
  • R.J. Barrett
  • Immanuel Quickley

The Knicks have two consecutive victories and six wins in their last seven games played, and are within reach of second and third place in the East respectively with a record of 43-28.
