Indre Judokas Gear Up for Upcoming Competitions with Intensive Training

Aged 11 to 16, 48 Indrian judokas met for the third departmental grouping of the season at Hidien Park. The youngest will fight in Bourges on March 17 during the Berry criterium, qualifier for the regional phase. Among the juniors, there are three of them to fight in Paris on March 23 for the individual national phase, and many of them will be mobilized for the French cup by department teams, on May 11 and 12 in Ceyrat.

For the cadets, some will fight on March 16 in Tours for the regional first division championship, but there will also be the second division and the hopefuls on April 13 in Bourges. Thus, many important deadlines are looming and Indrian judokas are preparing accordingly. This day of judo allowed everyone to learn, refine their ranges and surpass themselves.

Advanced training

In the morning, after an hour of physical preparation oriented towards the cardiovascular dimension, the young athletes worked technically on how to effectively engage a body shape: placement, combination and coordination of actions, balance/imbalance. In the afternoon, they were again entitled to an hour of physical preparation, mainly based on muscle strengthening. Then, they practiced an essential aspect of combat: the standing-to-ground connection. The technical interventions were obviously associated with numerous randori (training fights). The atmosphere was very good, the speakers from the Indre technical team noticed the positive attitude of the trainees.
