The match between Carlos Alcaraz y Alexander Zverev of quarterfinals Indian Wells had to be stopped this Thursday when only 9 minutes into the game due to the massive appearance of bees on the track.
With 1-1 on the scoreboard, the chair umpire ordered to stop the game because the bees made it impossible to play and they were even attacking Alcaraz, who had to run into the locker room to avoid being stung.
“The game has been stopped due to a ‘bee invasion'”said the chair umpire, who also suffered some bee attacks, jokingly.
The images showed that one of the cameras high on the track was what was attracting the bees.
