Incident Involving Detroit Pistons’ President Troy Weaver Sparks Controversy after Victory

The Detroit Pistons are in a moment where they can’t even celebrate a victory in peace. Yesterday the Michigan team beat the Hornets for the third time this season at Little Caesars Arena. However, the victory was punctuated by the incident that involved Troy Weaver, president of operations of the Pistons, with a fan in the stands.

The manager got into a verbal argument with the fan. “You’re lucky I don’t kick you in the a**,” Weaver tells him. In the video recorded by the fan the beginning of the altercation is not seen, but knowing the tension of the Pistons’ social mass, it could derive from criticism of his work. “You are very bad at your job,” one hears. Finally, Weaver called the stadium security team to have the fan ejected.

The reactions of the press and fans related to the Detroit team were immediate, calling for Weaver’s dismissal mass. So far Tom Gores, the team’s owner, has remained steadfast in his support of Weaver.
