Mbappé first, an exclusively Parisian top 10… The newspaper L’Équipe has revealed the main salaries of each Ligue 1 club. Discover the twenty most important, for the 2023-2024 season.

Since the 2011-2012 season and the arrival of the Qataris at Paris Saint-Germain, the capital club has imposed its hegemony, on and off the field. Last year, the ten highest salaries in Ligue 1 were Parisian, with Kylian Mbappé in the lead (€6 million), ahead of Neymar (€3.675 million) then Lionel Messi (€3.375 million). The first non-Parisian in this ranking revealed by the newspaper The Team was Wissam Ben Yedder, 11th with €650,000 per month.

In 2023-2024, and although PSG’s payroll is lower – with among others the departures of Neymar and Lionel Messi – the Top 10 is still dominated by the capital club, which also holds 14 of the 16 highest salaries of the French championship. Wissam Ben Yedder retains the highest non-Parisian salary in Ligue 1, which he shares with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (€650,000). For his last season in France, Kylian Mbappé remains at the head of this ranking.
