[수원=뉴시스] Reporter Park Jong-dae = People Power Party Suwon Gap candidate Kim Hyun-jun announced on the 24th a pledge to create a barefoot trekking course in Manseok Park and maintain facilities to provide a safe park use environment.

Currently, Manseok Park is equipped with sports facilities such as walking trails, tennis courts, badminton courts, soccer fields, and foot volleyball courts, as well as convenience facilities such as public parking lots and restrooms, but some facilities are in need of maintenance due to aging or low use.

Candidate Kim said, “The number of users of Manseok Park has continued to increase since its establishment in 1998, and there is a need to improve its aging facilities and enhance its role as a comfortable healing space by expanding facilities and strengthening safety to meet the needs of residents.”

Candidate Kim presented pledges such as improving facilities, expanding safety equipment, and improving accessibility in order to improve satisfaction with the use of Manseok Park and improve safety.

To improve facilities, we plan to create a barefoot trekking course in Manseok Park and expand sports facilities.

Candidate Kim said, “If we build a barefoot red clay road in Manseok Park, we can create an eco-friendly walking trail of about 1.5km,” and added, “We will replace old and damaged trails with eco-friendly red clay roads so that citizens can enjoy walking barefoot comfortably in the city.” He emphasized.

A plan to expand safety equipment was also announced to ensure that people of all ages can comfortably use the park 24 hours a day. Candidate Kim said, “We will prevent crimes by installing and expanding intelligent closed-circuit (CC) TV in blind spots and strengthen safety by installing additional LED (light-emitting diode) park lights and emergency bells.”

To improve accessibility, he also planned to create a barrier-free park, expand electric vehicle chargers in the parking lot, and provide additional parking spaces.

Candidate Kim said, “We will create Manseok Park as a barrier-free park to provide a comfortable environment for both disabled and non-disabled people,” and added, “We will also secure the convenience of electric vehicle users by expanding electric vehicle chargers in public parking lots.”
