Ice hockey: bad start in the semi-final for the Cergy-Pontoise Jokers, swept away in Rouen

In the semi-final of the Magnus League, the Jokers of Cergy-Pontoise began their series (best of seven games) against the Dragon of Rouen with a defeat in match 1 in Normandy this Friday evening (7-2).

However, it will take more to overcome the Valdoisiens, surprise guests of the semi-finals after having got the better of Angers, 2nd in the regular season, in the quarter-final.

This Friday, the Jokers attacked the game boldly against the Normans, first in the regular season.

In the first period, they responded head-to-head to the Dragons’ attempts. Petit equalized shortly after Tomasino opened the score (1-1). Then, Coulombe responded immediately to another Rouen goal from Flick (2-2).

In the second half, however, the Dragons managed to break 4-2, thanks to two new goals from Yeo and Mallet.

Finally, in the 3rd third, Rech, opportunely launched to meet Ylonen, killed the first part of this series by scoring the 5th Rouen goal (5-2), before Tomasino then Sotnieks added to the score in the last two minutes (7-2).

Match 2 will be played in Rouen this Saturday evening (8 p.m.). Cergy will host matches 3 and 4 on Tuesday (8:30 p.m.) and Wednesday (8:30 p.m.).
