The next few months at the Rossoneri will be decisive in defining once and for all the future of the former Fiorentina Serbian striker, who has scored 8 goals so far this season in all competitions. Pioli will meet him again on Thursday in the Europa League after the disqualification in the championship.
As reported by calciomercato.comand in particular from Daniele Longo, Jovic would have expressed to Milan his clear intention to remain next season too and to therefore renew the current agreement expiring in June 2024.
The striker born in ’97 in fact landed at Milanello on the last day of the last summer transfer market on a free transfer from Fiorentina, who released him for free, signing a one-year contract with the Devil for 2.5 million euros, bonuses included.
Three different clauses were then included in the aforementioned agreement which allow the Rossoneri club to annually renew the relationship with Jovic until 30 June 2027 under the same economic conditions. The Rossoneri are satisfied with the boy’s performance (Ibrahimovic has great respect for him) but they expect a definitive consecration in this season finale to proceed or not with the extension.
In this sense the month of March will be decisive: Ibrahimovic himself, supported by Moncada, called agent Ramadani to the office at the end of the month to take stock of the situation in view of next summer. In fact, Milan, which is also dealing with hesitations regarding the renewal of Olivier Giroud, must definitively understand whether it will be necessary to purchase one or two strikers during the next transfer session.
The orientation of the parties, as mentioned, would be to continue together even if in this sense the economic conditions would have to be revised given that Jovic, in the event of an annual extension, would have asked Milan for an adjustment to his salary for a sum of just over 3.5 million euros. For this reason, a surprise solution emerged.
The idea of Milan and Ibrahimovic, in case of renewal, would be to bypass the clauses present in the current contract and offer the former Eintracht Frankfurt a two-year deal directly at the same figures received today, i.e. 2.5 million euros.
We are therefore entering the hot phase: between the Europa League and the race for second place with Juve in the championship, Jovic is playing for a future that is still red and black in colour.
Bayern Munich threatens Milan: Germans on Theo Hernandez
One of the open issues at the Rossoneri house in view of next summer is that linked to the future of Theo Hernandez. On the French full-back, a pillar of Stefano Pioli’s team, Bayern Munich is pressing hard.
As reported by Gazzetta dello Sportthe German club would have identified Theo Hernandez as the perfect replacement for Alphonso Davies, the Canadian full-back whose contract expires in June 2025 and betrothed to Real Madrid starting next season.
The Bavarians would have made the first contacts with the Milan proposing to the Rossoneri an offer between 60 and 70 million euros for the ’97 class who has a contract with the Deviluntil 30 June 2026 from 4.5 million euros per season, bonuses included.
Milan, without Champions League goodbye to Herrnandez?
From what filters through, however, the Rossoneri don’t hear us: they consider the French champion untransferable and have every intention of rejecting the offer, raising the bar to 100 million euros as the starting point for a hypothetical negotiation. In essence, Ibrahimovic, Furlani and Moncada would not even accept 100 million unless with the addition of substantial bonuses.
In any case, the will of the Rossoneri club and of Theo Hernandez himself is to continue together and to reach, in this sense, the extension of the contract with an adjustment of the salary. Furthermore, the negative opinion of his brother Lucas also weighs on the choice of the former Real Madrid player: the current PSG defender had a very bad professional experience at Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga and would have advised Theo Hernandez not to take into consideration the proposal is to stay at Milan.
Meanwhile, yesterday, the Frenchman was rewarded by Furlani at Milanello for his 200 appearances in the Rossoneri shirt (together with Maignan who instead played 100). For both, the goal was reached in the match last February 25th against Atalanta. These are the words of the footballer:

Ibrahimovic, with the support of the owners of which he is a direct emanation, he wants to proceed with the extension of the Frenchman’s contract and for this reason he has scheduled a meeting with the agent at the end of the season.
For Theo Hernandez he would be ready a contract until 2028 (with option to 2029) at 7 million euros per season, bonuses included. Essentially the same salary received by Rafael Leao. There is great optimism between the parties.
