The now disbanded KSV Esslingen judo championship team, gymnast Anni Bantel and judoka Felix Kurz will be honored as the Esslingen team, sportswoman and athlete of the year 2023.
It was an evening full of emotions. Full of joy, with some happy moments and also a few thoughtful ones. At the end of a long marathon of honors on Friday evening in the Weil sports hall, gymnast Anni Bantel was named Esslingen’s athlete of the year, judoka Felix Kurz was named athlete and – this time it was really something very special – the no longer existing judo Bundesliga team from KSV Esslingen was named team of the year Awarded in 2023. Karateka Nives Podvorec received the special award as a young athlete.
