Holger Rune’s Early Exit Sealed in Just 59 Minutes by Fabian Marozsan

It took all of 59 minutes before Holger Rune’s exit was sealed.

The world number seven from Denmark had a completely wasted day and had no chance against Fabian Marozsan.

The Hungarian, currently number 57 in the ATP rankings, fended off all three of the favorite’s break opportunities and put Rune under pressure with 23 winners.

“It’s a great feeling to play at the highest level,” said Marozsan after his coup. “I’m enjoying my time here.”

Rune: “Got sick the night before the game”

Meanwhile, Rune told the Danish broadcaster “TV2” that he was under attack. “The night before the game I got sick and thought about whether I should withdraw from the tournament,” said the 20-year-old.

After warming up, he “felt better and decided to give it a try, but unfortunately I had no energy in my body,” Rune explained.

Meanwhile, Marozsan faces Alexei Popyrin in the fight for a place in the round of 16. The Australian won 6:4, 6:4 against Jiri Lehecka from the Czech Republic in round two.
