Dynamo Dresden welcomes SSV Ulm on Saturday. The leaders of the 3rd league travel to Saxony and face recently inconsistent Dresdeners in the top game.

The win against 1860 Munich (2:1) could have ended the small Dynamo crisis. After three games without a win in a row, there were finally three points to celebrate against Munich. Coach Markusbeginn (49) said after the victory:

“I am happy that we showed such a reaction after such a difficult week. I think the stadium was correspondingly emotional and pushed us forward. The boys threw themselves into everything, fought passionately and ultimately deserved to win.”

In the race for direct promotion places, the win against Munich could be worth its weight in gold. Substitute Lucas Cueto (27), who later scored the decisive 2-1, explained after the game:

“It was of course a very nice moment for all of us. We have earned that little bit of luck. We deserved to win a game like that. What happened today is even nicer.”

After the narrow home win against the Lions, league leaders SSV Ulm are now waiting. The newcomer wants to march through from the regional league to the 2nd Bundesliga. With 54 points, the club is currently one point ahead of Dynamo Dresden and level on points with Jahn Regensburg.

Beating Ulm is almost a feat. The team has not lost nine league games in a row. The SSV has won four of its last five games and is rightly at the top of the 3rd league table.
