If it is up to Marciano Vink, Dies Janse will soon make his debut for the Ajax first team. The Amsterdam team is missing a large number of defenders due to injuries, and that is why Vink sees an opportunity for playing time for the eighteen-year-old central defender of Jong Ajax. He tells this in Voetbalpraat on ESPN.
Last Thursday, Ajax saw no fewer than three defenders injured when they visited Aston Villa (4-0 defeat): Devyne Rensch, Josip Sutalo and Ahmetcan Kaplan.
Furthermore, Gastón Ávila is also injured, which means that the team from Amsterdam hardly have any defenders left. How should they solve that on Sunday against Sparta Rotterdam?
“You have Dies Janse,” Vink suggests in Voetbalpraat. “That is a player from the Under 18s. He played with Jong Ajax against De Graafschap on Monday and was Man of the Match.” Janse is in his debut season at Jong Ajax. So far he has played ten matches in the Kitchen Champion Division. He kicked off three times.
“He really won the victory for Jong. They won 0-2 there. But it is one that is quite stoic. What else do you have?”
Presenter Milan van Dongen then mentions Jakov Medic as an option, but Vink is not impressed by that. “You haven’t seen that in ages.”
Number five Ajax will face Sparta, number eleven in the Eredivisie, on Sunday. The match at Het Kasteel starts at 4:45 PM.
Do you think this is a good suggestion from Marciano Vink?
