Hawks Stumble After Four-Game Win Streak, Fall to Bucks 122-113

After four straight victories, including two against Boston, Atlanta fell back to earth. In front of their home crowd, the Hawks were beaten 122-113 by Milwaukee.

Despite Bogdan Bogdanovic’s 38 points and 14 3-point baskets scored, Atlanta was disarmed by the power of Giannis Antetokounmpo. In the absence of Damian Lillard who did not make the trip for personal reasons, the Greek took responsibility with his 36 points, his 16 rebounds and his… 6 dunks.

Clint Capela was therefore not at the wedding in the interior game against such an opponent. The Genevan scored 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds for a differential of -6. Trailing 59-45 at the break, the Hawks never really ‘existed’ in this meeting. They will try to bounce back on Monday in Chicago in a meeting which could be one of the two posters for the next play-ins.
