Hawks Snap Three-Game Losing Streak, Defeat Clippers 110-93

Dejounte Murray scored 21 points, De’Andre Hunter added 20 and the Atlanta Hawks defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 110-93 on Sunday night to snap a three-game losing streak.

Jalen Johnson had 18 points and 12 rebounds and Clint Capela contributed 15 points and 13 rebounds for the Hawks.

Murray made five 3-pointers, setting a career mark with his fifth game with at least four hits from long range. The Hawks made 17 of 34 3-pointers after tying their season high with 20 on Friday night in a loss to Utah.

Kawhi Leonard scored 28 points to lead the Clippers and Paul George scored 26. The Los Angeles team has lost four of the last five and is in fourth place in the Western Conference.

Atlanta led 31-29 at the end of the first quarter, before outscoring the Clippers 30-15 in the second to take a 61-44 lead at halftime. Atlanta was 11 of 23 from the field in the fourth while Los Angeles was 6 of 23, including 1 of 10 from 3-point range.

Capela led the Hawks in the first half with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Leonard scored 17 points in the first quarter, the second-most points in the first 12 minutes of a regular-season game in his 12-year career.
