Nantes won at Aix-en-Provence (30-24) on Friday during the 22nd day of the Starligue de handball to reduce the gap to three points with the leader, Paris-SG, which hosts Ivry on Sunday. The Nantes residents (38 pts) also temporarily take a five-point lead over Montpellier (which hosts Chartres on Sunday) in the race for second qualifying place for the Champions League.
They were able to count on the nine goals and three assists of Aymeric Minne and the solidity of their recent recruit Ignacio Biosca Garcia in goal (10 saves at 42% success rate).
