2024 Nationals: Official Calendar Announced by Conade, Jalisco to Host Main Events

The National Commission of Physical Culture and Sports (Conade) published the official calendar of the 2024 Nationals that will take place from May 6 to July 11 in Jalisco as the main venue, as well as Campeche, Mexico City and Colima in the role of sub-headquarters.

The Rodeo on Jalisco soil and Indoor Volleyball on Campeche territory are the disciplines that will open the curtain of the prestigious national multi-sport event, which this year will be made up of 50 disciplines.

In Jalisco, main venue and defending champion of the 2023 edition, 34 sports will be developed; Campeche will host 13 disciplines, Mexico City will do the same with two specialties and Colima with one.

Rodeo, Boxing, Roller Skates, Charrería, Baseball 5, Basketball and Soccer; Baseball, Tennis, Diving, Shooting Sports, Sailing and Rugby; Archery, Bowling, Associated Wrestling, Cycling, Racquetball and Field Hockey; Fencing, Artistic Swimming, Trampoline Gymnastics, Fronton, Athletics and Squash; Swimming, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Modern Pentathlon, Taekwondo, Artistic Gymnastics and Karate, as well as Sport Climbing, Table Tennis and Water Polo, will take place in Jalisco.

Campeche will host Volleyball, Breaking, Golf, Open Water, Weightlifting and Judo; Handball, Badminton, Beach Volleyball, Chess, Triathlon, Softball and 3×3 Basketball.

While Canoeing and Rowing will take place in Mexico City, and Surfing will be the only sport to be held in Colima.

According to the Jalisco Sports Commission (CODE), so far the municipalities of Tala (Mountain Biking) and Puerto Vallarta (Sailing) will be sub-headquarters in Jalisco, with the possibility of integrating other regions that come to this contest as defending champion .

For the first time, Campeche will receive 13 sports disciplines in the most important amateur event in the country. Conade confirmed that they will host in the months of May and June, marking a milestone for the entity by hosting an unprecedented number of competitions, significantly surpassing the participation in 2005, when it hosted only five disciplines.

Marina del Pilar Ávila, governor of Baja California, will lead the ceremony that seeks to recognize, motivate and give the starting signal to the athletes who will carry the emblem of the State 29 in national competitions based in Jalisco, Campeche, Colima and Mexico City.

Athletes qualified for Paris 2024 will be present at the event, such as gymnasts Alexa Moreno and Natalia Escalera, as well as rower Alexis López.
