“After the match against Club Brugge, Tolu received a series of racist reactions on social media. KRC Genk and everyone involved with the club condemns the reactions 100%. Racism has no place. Not in football stadiums, not on social media. media, nowhere. Unfortunately, racism is still deeply rooted in football and by extension in society as a whole. It is a shared responsibility to put a stop to this. As a club, we are doing everything we can to track down those responsible and to report it to the police,” Genk said.
Last matches going well
Genk is tackling this well and the people who felt it necessary to give these objectionable reactions deserve a severe punishment.
Tolu was blamed for the defeat, but the striker has been doing well in recent weeks. He was good for a goal at KV Mechelen, which yielded a point.
