(CNN) A photo of French President Emmanuel Macron boxing has been posted on his official Instagram account, prompting comments of amusement and confusion from the public.
The black and white photos were taken by exclusive photographer Soisig de la Moissonnière. President Macron is wearing a tight black T-shirt and gloves.
One of the photos showed the president gritting his teeth and placing his right hand on a punching bag, and the other showed his concentrated expression as he threw the punch.
