Opposed to Thanasi Kokkinakis (101st), Hugo Grenier (137th) was the first to qualify, taking advantage of the Australian’s abandonment while the match was well underway (6-4, 4-1 ab.). He will face the Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild (76th) to enter the main draw.
Terence Atmane (129th) logically dominated (6-4, 6-4) Mikhail Kukushkin (139th) and will face the American Brandon Nakashima (92nd). Arthur Rinderknech (82nd) dominated (6-4, 6-4) the Jamaican Blaise Bicknell (315th).
Dodin beaten by Tauson
The other French people bowed. Benoit Paire (138th) gave in (6-1, 7-6 [2]) against the Slovak Lukas Klein (128th), Hugo Gaston (89th) was surprised (6-2, 3-6, 6-2) by the Hong Konger Chak Wong (212th), beneficiary of an invitation. And Quentin Halys (113th) also lost (6-4, 7-5) against a lower ranked opponent, the American Emilio Nava (132nd).
Note that Océane Dodin (84th) was beaten in two sets (6-4, 7-6 [1]) by the Dane Clara Tauson (91st) in the last round of qualifying.
