France-Germany: Samba, Thuram and Zaire-Emery will start well

The match eve set-up was good. Didier Deschamps has not hidden his intentions and will field the team we expected, this Saturday evening in a friendly match against Germany at Groupama Stadium (9 p.m., TF1). Brice Samba will therefore keep the tricolor cage for his 3rd selection. The Lensois will replace Mike Maignan who is just recovering from a muscle problem which caused him to miss the first training sessions of the week. The staff took no risks and will take advantage of this meeting to see in action who should be their understudy during the next Euro (June 14 – July 14).

The Blues team composition

Samba – Koundé, Pavard, Upamecano, L. Hernandez – Zaire-Emery, Tchouameni, Rabiot – Dembele, Thuram, Mbappe (cap.)

Marcus Thuram will also start at the forefront of the attack to the detriment of Olivier Giroud. An opportunity to seize for the Inter Milan player who will be associated with Parisians Kylian Mbappé, on the left wing, and Ousmane Dembélé on the right wing.

Warren Zaire-Emery, 18, is also a good starter. For his second cape in Blue, the young PSG phenomenon takes advantage of the absence of Antoine Griezmann to complete the trio in midfield with Aurélien Tchouaméni and Adrien Rabiot. Lucas Hernandez is preferred to his brother Théo in the left lane of defense.

On the right, it is Barcelona’s Jules Koundé who will start with, in the central hinge, the Pavard-Upamecano pair. Here again, the French staff will be able to test a new association by aligning the two former partners of Bayern Munich. As announced, Ibrahima Konaté is a replacement.
