Football: L’Aquila 1927 crowdfunding project presented in Rome – Football

L’Aquila 1927’s Equity Crowdfunding campaign was presented today in Rome. The football club of the Abruzzo capital presented its football model, based on popular ownership. This is an innovative management, through a fundraiser with which football enthusiasts and fans can become members of the club. The project started 5 years ago and has gathered numerous support.


The presentation meeting was moderated by Xavier Jacobelli, columnist for Corriere dello Sport and TuttoSport and RaiSport commentator. Participating in the debate were Francesco Righetti, innovation center director of Phoenix Capital – Global Advisor; Pierluigi Biondi, mayor of L’Aquila; Francesco Ghirelli, honorary president of “L’Aquila 1927”; Giancarlo Abete, president of the National Amateur League; Carlo Cottarelli, economist and university professor; Goffredo Juchich, administrator of “L’Aquila 1927”; and Guido Quintino Liris, senator of the Republic.


The Equity Crowdfunding campaign – it was explained – is the evolution of the project born in 2018, when the club restarted from the ashes of the First Category, thanks to the love of its fans and the contribution of the many sponsors gathered in the area. Since then, L’Aquila 1927 has seen its first team win three championships and return to Serie D. The goal is to reach Serie B by 2027, the implementation of the Gran Sasso stadium and the construction of a sports center. The campaign to become members will officially begin on March 21st on the Mamacrowd platform.
