First Indoor Archery Championship in Fuerteventura attracts over 200 participants from 22 different nationalities

More than two hundred participants of 22 different nationalities participate in the first Indoor Archery Championship held in Fuerteventura.

The Championship organized by international, national and regional Archery associations, is held in Antigua, at the Pozo Negro Farm, with the collaboration of the Antigua City Council from the Department of Sports.

The majority of the planned attendees, including participating archers and family members, confirm accommodation in the Municipality of Antigua, mainly in Caleta de Fuste.

The Antigua City Council, since the first meeting held with the organizers in October last year, says the mayor, Matías Peña García, supports and provides all the support needed by the organizing clubs of the first European Archery Championship held in the island, with the collaboration of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura and the capital City Council.

The Championship is held from March 18 to 22 in Antigua, bringing together more than 200 archers of 22 different nationalities, and we are grateful for the collaboration proposal made by the representatives of the organizing clubs, says the Councilor for Sports, Samuel Torres.

An appointment that places the Municipality and the island as a reference for Archery, adds the councilor, and the objective, for our part, is to receive the archers and their families in the best possible way, welcoming them with the best services and means.

And Councilor Torres concludes, we support the logistics and sports infrastructure required at the Pozo Negro venue, and as a magnificent response we know that the majority of attendees have confirmed accommodation mainly in Caleta de Fuste.
