The management of the Finnish club Ilves Tampere secured eight players from the current squad, including three Czechs – goalkeeper Jakub Málek and forwards Šimon Stránský and Ondřej Kos.

21-year-old Málek has been working in Finland for the second year. He intercepted 25 matches for Ilves last season, including the playoffs, and in the current season he has 26 on his account with a success rate of 91.29 percent and an average of 2.37 conceded goals per match.

“Jakub is developing in line with our expectations, he saved us a lot of wins and even made it to the Czech national team,” sports director Timo Koskela reports on the club’s website, who after signing a new one-year contract highlights his qualities
